Am reading Sweethearts - what a story!! I've been an old movies fan for 30 years and watch TCM a LOT but I'd never seen a MacDonald-Eddy film - never wanted to - until last Monday night when I watched Maytime to see John Barrymore - who was just fine - but MacEddy were fabulous - what a discovery!! Firefly next - then Girl Of The Golden West - I'm hooked and glad to be so. Thanks for writing Sweethearts. BRAVO!...Such beacons of keeping the ideals, beauty, music, of feelings which are all but virtually buried by today's "realistic" "enlightened" world through our timeless Jeanette & Nelson...If only more would drop the "Cool" garbage and let these magnificent artists into their souls! From the age of 8 to my now 53 yrs old, my passion for these people and their glorious art has burned brighter with each passing day... If Ms. Rich somehow reads this, I send loving hugs to one in the "younger" generation who has been touched and has done a truly wonderful calling to keep Jeanette & Nelson alive in ALL their humanity and beyond!
