President Sharon Rich will be attending all Mac/Eddy Club events. Meetings are open to any fans, whether club members or not;
however, the club reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone known to be
disruptive, libelous, slanderous, or antagonistic to the club.
Note: Tickets can now be purchased online for our club meetings!
We are planning meetings in 2008 for London,
New York, Toronto and possibly Sydney, Australia, to be posted later. Join us in Washington, D.C. and be part of a TV interview! Or celebrate with us in Los Angeles on Nelson's birthday! Watch this page for dates and cities!
WASHINGTON, D.C.: Saturday, May 10, 2008.
Our Maytime event is being held at a new location - a TV station in
Washington, D.C.! It will be at DCTV located at 901 Newton St, N.E.
Lunch will be at the Green Room in the studio which is located inside
of the historic Brook's Mansion. Our usual Q & A session will be
filmed there in one of the studios and later televised as a special!
There is parking and if you want to take public transportation, it's
located on the RED LINE at the Catholic U/Brookland Stations. More
details will be emailed to you but the event should run from about 11
am-4 pm. As always, our DC chapter President Darryl
Winston is coordinator of the event; he is also in charge of the filmed
portion of the afternoon. All the normal events we usually have going
on during our wonderful DC meetings (including a memorabilia sale and
probably a mini-concert) will be as usual - with the extra excitement
of a filmed interview! $45/person. If you're coming from out-of-town
and need hlep finding affordable hotel acoomodations, email Darryl at darwinston37@yahoo.com. Reservations for the May 10 DC event should be made no
later than May 1st. Click here for tickets.
LOS ANGELES: Sunday, June 29, 2008. 12
noon at our usual location: Sportsmans' Lodge Restaurant located at the
corner of Ventura Blvd. and Coldwater Canyon in Studio City. Nelson, Clark Gable and other movie stars used to eat at this restaurant, where in the "good old days" they could catch their own fish from the pond outside the restaurant, and then have their catch cooked up fresh! $45/person includes
luncheon, program, memorabilia sale and a book signing with Sharon Rich and K.T. Ernshaw (Nelson's longtime confidant), author of "To Love Again." We'll be celebrating the June birthdays of Jeanette and Nelson, so don't miss this event! By
the way, if you are coming from out-of-town, there is a hotel on the
premises and you can call 800-821-8511 for reservations. Reservations
should be made no later than June 22. Click here for tickets. If you can't get a room at the Sportsmans' Lodge Hotel, try one of the places listed below. Be sure and ask for AAA or AARP discounts, whatever would apply. There are some cheaper motels but are farther away from where the club meeting is. All these are within a few minutes drive. Hope it helps.
