Sharon Rich has written seven books and edited and written over sixty magazines about 1930s singing stars Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy. Two of them were selections of the Entertainment Book Club. Sweethearts was the #1 Best Seller for four weeks at booksurge.com, while Nelson Eddy: The Opera Years was #2 during that same time period.

Rich was close friends for many years with Jeanette's older sister Blossom Rock. Along with interviewing hundreds of people, she had access to many collections of private letters, Nelson�s personal scrapbooks, diary entries, FBI files and Jeanette�s unpublished autobiography. She is considered by many to be the leading authority on MacDonald and Eddy in the world. In 1995 she was awarded a Dame of Merit by the Knights of Malta for her contribution to History and Literature. Rich lives in New York City.

These original 64-page magazines are still in print! They're printed on glossy stock and have a gorgeous color cover! Our stock is VERY low on some of the older issues, so grab these while you still can.

Note: Issues #56 though #59 are out-of-stock and so can be ordered as black-and-white xerox copies. Issues #1-49 are available in book compilations.

Back Issue Book Compilations!

We are pleased to announce that all the back issues of Mac/Eddy Today, from Issue #1 through #49, are being released as book compilations. Each Volume has four issues (Volume 1 has 5) and all are reproduced with their color covers! This makes it easier for you to collect all the issue and to see the evolution of the club and the research behind the book Sweethearts. At this writing, most of the Issues from #50 and above are still in stock although they are running out fast; the ones that aren't can be purchased in Xerox form.

Volumes 1-6 are currently shipping. Volumes 7-12 are still a pre-sell and are scheduled to ship in April 2006. The special pre-sale package price for them will end this week, so take advantage of this opportunity to complete your collection!
