Anna May Wong Lifesize Bust by Nelson Eddy

Thanks to your interest in this excellent likeness of Chinese-American actress Anna May Wong, we are now offering a limited edition replica!

The bust is life size and initialed by Nelson Eddy on the back. In the photo showing Nelson with the original, from his hair style it would appear that it was circa 1947; however, underneath Nelson's initials on the original bust, there is a line of 4 dots, a space, then 3 dots. We don't know what this means but possibly 43... as in, 1943? Or - maybe the 4 and 3 add up to 7?

For this first run of busts, the processing time will be approximately 6 weeks until it is packed and shipped to you (anywhere in the world) via UPS. This is because the foundry will make the mold first and then make the actual busts afterwards. (And this is the time frame they gave us.) They are being cast in the same chip-proof stone-filled resin as the Nelson and Jeanette busts. However - the original Anna May Wong is an ivory-whitish color - whereas the Nelson and Jeanette heads were bronze color. We have the option to order the Anna May Wong replicas made either in the same "white" color or the bronze cold cast (like Nelson and Jeanette).

IMPORTANT: Please specify whether you would prefer either white or bronze color for your Anna May Wong bust. When you put this item in your shopping cart, please note it in the "comments" section your preference. We can only choose one or the other, so will go with majority opinion on it.

Note: Because all the initial orders need to be placed with the foundry at the same time, you must use a credit card for payment for this item and your card will be charged immediately so that the foundry work can begin. Also, we request that you order THIS WEEK - no later than July 17, 2009 if you want to get in on the initial ordering process. I will send in all orders first thing next week along with the original for the molding.

Additionally, another reason not to delay if you are interested is that the price may be raised after this week's pre-launch, since this bust is more costly to make than the Nelson and Jeanette heads. Since we will be ordering a few of them, we can pass the savings on to you with this initial run.

Also: You must provide a street address, not a P.O. box, for delivery of your bust. Assuming the initial batch of busts are ready to ship around early September, you would receive yours within a few days to a week (if you live in the US) or longer depending on what country you order from. Make sure we will have the correct shipping address for you at that time (or wherever you want it shipped). We have successfully shipped busts to both the UK and to Australia, and all these busts will be shipped directly from our foundry in Oregon. The foundry insures all packages.
