us for the New York Premiere of the musical "A Scandalous Affair" based
on the book "Sweethearts"- one night only! April 19, 2009, 8 pm at
Merkin Hall near Lincoln Center. There will be a reception/book signing with Sharon Rich after the performance.
Our
actual club meeting in NYC will be earlier in the day. We'll be showing
some rare video clips, have a Q&A session with Sharon Rich have a memorabilia sale and spend the afternoon
together! We will also be screening excerpts of some of the interviews quoted in the biography "Sweethearts." Here are the details:
Holiday Inn Midtown 57th St. 440 West 57th Street (between 9th and 10th, close to Columbus Circle), NYC Time:1-4 pm, ask for the Mac/Eddy group. Light refreshments served. No RSVP needed, just come to the meeting!

The $20 charge for this club meeting is waived for you as long as you
purchase your ticket for the Merkin Hall performance that evening! Just
show your e-ticket or receipt at the club meeting for free admission!
After
the meeting, those that want to join us will head out to an affordable
nearby restaurant (to be chosen, so make sure to budget that in) and
after that, the group will head over to the Merkin Theater for the 8 pm
performance!

Next - if you are coming from out-of-town, please make your reservation at the same Holiday Inn - where the entire group will be staying. You can call the number above and make a reservation; however, we confirmed with Group Sales at the hotel that the BEST RATE you can get is on the Internet right now - between $152-$177 per room, depending on how many beds you need. All the discount websites are offering the same prices, so we would appreciate it if you would purchase your hotel room reservation at this link:
